While the race leaders get into position at the front – they are converging on Pointe de la Croix where they will most likely launch again – athletes mid-pack are already in the air and high. Damien Lacaze (FRA5), currently in 10th position, launched from above TP7 Fiesch - Aletsch Arena and is now at 2600m and making quick progress along the Rhone Valley. Known as a "flying highway" athletes should be able to make fast progress through this area today.
