Both leaders Chrigel Maurer (SUI1) and Patrick von Känel (SUI2) have been able to cross the Rhine valley while flying. That gives them an enormous advantage on the way to Turnpoint 6 Säntis. The wide valley would set them back an hour at least if not much longer, if they'd have to walk across and climb up the other side. While Patrick is a bit behind Chrigel, he is about 600m higher, which is significant and will thus be able to climb out easier on their way to TP6.
