The weather is horrible around Mont Blanc and a large part of the athletes are stuck just there. Some are making the best of a bad situation, by gliding a little ways when the rain stops and then walking again. Manuel Nübel (GER1) has just done a glide from Col de la Croix du Bonhomme down into the valley of Les Chapieux, saving him a few kilometers hike. He's now in 17th position ahead of Steve Bramfitt (GBR) who is also on the col.
