Rookie Patrick Von Kanel (SUI2) is currently in sixth place, heading west towards Turnpoint 5 Lermoos-Tiroler Zugspitz Arena. At just 24, he is the youngest athlete in the Red Bull X-Alps 2019. He told race reporter Tarquin Cooper: 'It's been good. Yesterday, we flew over the main Alps and back, but I'm a bit disappointed I didn't make the flight all the way to Lermoos. I'm a bit tired, but I'm looking forward to more flying.'
