Because of the weather athletes are forced to walk around Mont Blanc instead of flying. A group in the mid pack including Yael Margelisch (SUI4), Michael Lacher (GER3), Eduardo Garza (MEX) and Manuel Nübel (GER1) are hiking up to Col de la Seigne right on the border of France and Italy. They hope to fly off the other side, just as Steve Bramfitt (GBR) before them in 15th place has just done.
