ULTIMATE TOUCH AND GO
Gavin McClurg (USA1) says: 'I had an interesting flight en route to Davos. I took off from a pass, but the terrain was really flat so I was doing everything I could to stay up. I was flying over this swamp, and there was a road, and then after the road the terrain seemed to drop off, so I just went for it, full speed. I was hoping to glide to the drop off, but I realised I wasn't going to make it and that I'd have to land on the road. But then there was a car coming. I locked eyes with the driver and just kept running. It worked out fine. I made it across and managed to fly for another 200m or so afterwards. It was the ultimate touch and go.'
