Chrigel Maurer (SUI1), Patrick von Känel (SUI2) are preparing to fly again. They are at the top of the Grubigsteinbahnen, the main mountain of the Lermoos-Tiroler Zugspitz Arena. They are at 1980m where the winds are still manageable at 18km/h, but the athletes are clearly discussing their options, as they have not been moving for a while. They will be seeing the thunderstorms that are approaching northwest from the mountain range and over the area of the next Turnpoint 6 Säntis. If these approach any further towards the east, the athletes will have to land as it is dangerous to fly in thunderstorms.
