They hit the top in just 55 minutes 31 seconds!
It was a three-way triumph at the top of the Griessenkareck during the Prologue this morning as three pilots reached Turnpoint 1 in less than an hour.
Benoit Outters (FRA1), Chrigel Maurer (SUI1) and Maxime Pinot (FRA4) all reached Turnpoint 1, the summit of the 1,991m Griessenkareck, above Wagrain-Kleinarl, in 55 minutes 33 seconds.
Because the weather is not right for competition flying, the time stops at Turnpoint 1.
Athletes can now choose to either fly or hike back down to the goal field. To complete the race athletes must cross the finish line at Wagrain-Kleinarl.
Winners of the Prologue win an extra Night Pass – which they can use during the Red Bull X-Alps, which starts on Sunday 16 June.
