The flying day is switching on, with all top three athletes in the air. Chrigel Maurer (SUI1) has launched, and Maxime Pinot (FRA4) is working hard to fly up to Turnpoint 7 Titlis and topland. Behind him, Paul Guschlbauer (AUT1) has also launched. Further back in the field, pilots have been hiking all morning to get in position to fly early. Thermals typically start in the Alps around 9.30am at the very earliest – expect more athletes to take to the air as the morning goes on.
