The race for second place is just as exciting in the tenth Red Bull X-Alps as the race for first. The group of four athletes that have been together for the past day are falling apart a bit. Simon Oberrauner (AUT2) and Maxime Pinot (FRA1), Patrick von Känel (SUI2) is 17km behind and Benoît Outters has just crossed the valley near Meran on foot, still 40km further back. He's walking, so at least he is warming up again from his cold, glove-less flight today. He has flown more than 8h today.
