The axeman hits team New Zealand

Nick Neynens (NZL1) was the last athlete in the race this morning at 06:00am and thus had to leave the race. Every other morning the team in last position is automatically eliminated. Nick is understandably disappointed: "I would have liked to continue. I usually get stronger later in the race and my ankle was getting better every day. But this year's field is so strong that you can't afford any mistakes. We love the Red Bull X-Alps and we are going to follow the race from the side for sure."
