Stable conditions in the air

Almost every athlete is now in the air, and although it is flyable on the Gaisberg, it is clearly not good enough flying conditions for athletes to set off on a cross country flight south towards Wagrain-Kleinarl. The trick here is to keep waiting, stay in the air, and wait for the thermals to start working. This is what athletes call 'stable' conditions in the air – when the thermals are weak and not going so high.
