RAIN STOPS PLAY FOR PINOT

Maxime Pinot (FRA4) has landed – and this is the reason. The rain squall that Chrigel Maurer (SUI1) is avoiding by sitting it out on the top of Turnpoint 7, Titlis at 3,238m, has forced Pinot to land. This is a crucial moment in the development of the race – Maurer still has two hours to fly this evening, and he is high. Even if he simply glides down to the valley he will cover many kilometres. It looks like Pinot will now have to turn on his hiking mode.
