It's on again at the front. SUI1 and FRA1 have launched and are climbing in a good thermal. Maurer (SUI1) has never been under this much sustained pressure from other athletes at any point in his Red Bull X-Alps career. He must surely be feeling the heat from the French. Race reporter Tarquin Cooper watched them as they climbed out: "Maurer and Pinot are right together, climbing up. There is not an obvious valley system for them to follow here, they are flying from hill to hill, it's complicated terrain."
