Made some friends in Oz! After a "triple doggo" (three night shifts) I drove directly from work, dozed for an hour and a half on the side of the highway, then stopped to try my luck at Murrurundi, the pass north of the Hunter valley. I don't think I've ever seen so many Wedge tailed Eagles - must have been a dozen! Almost like pigeons. Seemed like they've never seen a paraglider before, as they approached cautiously but they really were a good natured bunch. Flying so close at times. After hanging out for ages I followed the ridge back to the car, had a chat to the farmer, and drove into Manilla for a feed and a yarn.
