Maxime Pinot (FRA4) has reached Turnpoint 7 Titlis. The Turnpoint is at 3238m and is the highest in the race. ‘It’s only 11.30am and I have hiked 2500m’ he said. Pinot said he will take a 10-minute rest and then hike down to see if he can find a place to launch below the cloud. He will then launch and fly down to the valley. There is airspace around Meiringen that is active until 6.15pm this evening – athletes must not infringe airspace or they will receive a time penalty.
