Limited edition Suunto 9 celebrates Red Bull X-Alps
Announcing a one-of-a-kind partnership: Each limited edition watch highlights one kilometer of the race.
For the world’s toughest adventure race, the most rugged adventure watch is an essential companion for the athletes. With up to 120 hours of battery life, and tested to the extreme, the Suunto 9 is built for exactly this kind of epic undertaking.
1138 watches, each symbolizing one km of the 1138 km race
To celebrate the sheer audacity of the race, Suunto releases 1138 pieces of the Red Bull X-Alps Limited Edition Suunto 9 Baro Titanium. Each piece features a red gasket and is numbered with a corresponding kilometer of the race on the titanium bezel.
Athletes' wingman in the 2019 race
Each of the 32 athletes from around the world will wear a Suunto 9 Baro while racing, helping them to stay on route, pace their efforts and remain locked in. Designed and built for the toughest conditions, the Suunto 9 is the perfect wingman for Red Bull X-Alps.
The special edition watch has a black textile quick release strap with the Red Bull X-Alps logo and Suunto Red Arrow printed on each side. An additional black silicone strap will come with each piece.
Barometric altitude, storm alarms and weather trends
Suunto 9 Baro Titanium is a durable multisport GPS watch with 80 sport modes, intelligent battery modes and reminders, and start-of-the-art training guidance and summary displays. The 9 Baro offers barometric altitude, and safety information such as storm alarms, weather trends, sunrise and sunset times, all of which are especially important for Red Bull X-Alps athletes crossing alpine terrain.
The limited edition watch will be available on suunto.com on May 16 and at select retailers starting May 23.
