The athletes around Turnpoint 10 St Hilaire are having to cope with baking hot and stable conditions. Gavin McClurg said the valley was like ‘pea soup’ before he flew from the Turnpoint in a glide to the deck. He’s now been hiking two hours, hoping to get in to a position to launch. However, as he’s been hiking, many others have been flying. McClurg is in 14th position.
