Launch of the weekend
Evgenii Griaznov toplanded Titlis, what he then does will go down in the 2019 Red Bull X-Alps history books.
It was quite a weekend for Evgenii Griaznov (RUS). The day after his 47th birthday, he toplanded Turnpoint 7 Titlis – and then performed one of the Red Bull X-Alps 2019's most acrobatic launches.
Captured on video, he sets up for a reverse launch, with a fence – draped with a Russian flag – and the snow-covered slope behind him. He then pulls the wing up, brings it under control, turns – and then hops over the fence and into the air. Do not try this at home!
Currently in 15th place, he is now flying towards Turnpoint 9 Mont Blanc. The five-times Red Bull X-Alps Veteran – who moonlights as a teacher – was Russian champion in 2010 and has being flying for 19 years.
