Unlike at many of the Turnpoints in this year's race, athletes don't need to land and sign in to officially reach Turnpoint 8 Eiger. The turnpoint is a 1500m radius cyclinder over the mountain. Athletes simply need to enter this cyclinder, whether in the air or on foot.
