Hot again

It's hazy and cloudless out in the mountains, report the athletes. It's going to be a warm day again, even up on TP3 Kitzbühel-Hahnenkamm at 1633m it will be around 18°C. The haze comes from Sahara dust and shields the sun. This causes thermal lift conditions to be slight to moderate, reports Ubimet, the official race meteorology service. There will be increasing cumulus clouds, which may grow so large in the afternoon that they will pose a risk of thunderstorms especially in the Northern Alps in the area between Hochkönig and the Tennengebirge where the chasing group of athletes is, and around TP4 Chiemgau/Achental where the race leaders might be, could be affected in the late afternoon or evening.
