Local athlete Paul Guschlbauer (AUT1) reached Turnpoint 1, Gaisberg in second place, just 24 seconds behind Maxime Pinot (FRA4). Guschlbauer, who has competed in every Red Bull X-Alps since 2011, is a keen bush pilot when he's not trail running or paragliding, and recently flew his Piper Super Cub aircraft the length of the Americas.
