Grossrubatscher gets time penalty

Airspace violation means 12 hours enforced rest

Tobias Grossrubatscher (ITA2) has been given a 12-hour time penalty for violating airspace near Innsbruck. 

It means that Grossrubatscher must stay in the same place from 5am-5pm tomorrow, Friday 21 June.

The Race Committee’s official statement reads: 

‘Tobias Grossrubatscher (ITA2) made an airspace violation close to Innsbruck. This is a violation of rule 5.4. The race committee has decided to penalise Grossrubatscher with 12 hours, which needs to be added to his rest period on Friday 21 June at 5am.’

Grossrubatscher can hike and fly until 10.30pm tonight.
