Davos and the Night Pass
Leaders make T6 while Griaznov pulls Night Pass
Christian Maurer (SUI1) is back on home turf, becoming the first athlete to land and sign the board at Turnpoint 6 Davos. He is now en route to Turnpoint 7 Titlis, which is also in Switzerland. Maxime Pinot (FRA4) followed him – and remains in second place. They now have around 655km to go until the Finish in Monaco.
Chrigel made the journey to Davos from his launch southwest of Turnpoint 5 Lermoos-Tiroler Zugspitz Arena, which he reached yesterday, in two flights after landing short on his first try. The weather forecast remains positive for now, but change is expected over the next few days.
Behind the leaders, Aaron Durogati (ITA1), Paul Guschlbauer (AUT1) and Gaspard Petiot (FRA2) make up the top five.
In other news, Evgenii Griaznov (RUS) has pulled his Night Pass. This will allow him to keep moving after the other athletes are forced to stop for the evening at 10.30pm. The 46-year-old Russian is in 19th position, heading for Turnpoint 5.
