With just 278km to go until the Finish in Monaco, Christian Maurer (SUI1) is heading for high ground. He will be looking for an east-facing slope (the first to be warmed by the rising sun) and then hoping for some serious distance in the air. Conditions look far more favourable and Turnpoint 11 Monte Viso can be tagged without landing. The Turnpoint is a 2.25km radius cylinder centred on the mountain and athletes simply need to enter it, either on the ground or in the air.
