Behind the four leaders, a group of three athletes is breaking away from the pack around Mont Blanc. Paul Guschlbauer (AUT1) is 212km behind Benoît Outters (FRA2) but 85km ahead of Michal Gierlach (POL) who is at the front of the Mont Blanc pack. The Italians Aaron Durogati (ITA1) and Tobias Grossrubatscher (ITA2) are on Paul's heels. All are on foot racing the bad weather coming from the west.
