At the cross

Ferdy van Schelven (NED) is on Dent d'Oche with Tom de Dorlodot (BEL) and Toma Coconea (ROU). They were hoping to fly, but the conditions are not optimal, Ferdy said. "We have had a lot of high cloud, which shields the sun. Someone was flying just now but could not stay up. We expect some blue skies for an hour or so and we will fly." For the rest of the day he expects that the föhn winds will keep them from flying far. It's not sure that he will make Turnpoint 9 Mont Blanc today, he said.
