The world's toughest adventure race is returning for its ninth edition in 2019. More than 1,100km of treacherous alpine terrain from Salzburg to Monaco need to be surmounted - a grueling test for body and mind.

Evolution of a route
In the first Red Bull X-Alps in 2003 there was only one Turnpoint between Dachstein mountain and Monaco. Since then the gliders performance improved and their weight dropped. The greatest change however is the ongoing enhancement of the athletes' strength, endurance and technical skills. Walking high with Skywalk Paragliders
The german based company Skywalk Paragliders teams up with Red Bull X-Alps for a third time in 2019. The producer of the most innovative paragliding gear also has five athlete teams participating in this year's edition of Red Bull X-Alps.
