If you want to be involved in something global, now is your chance. The Wings for Life World Run is the biggest and most inclusive running event in the world, and everyone can take part either in person, or via the app.
On Sunday, May 4, 2025, runners and wheelchair users on every corner of the planet will challenge themselves to go as far as possible, before being caught by the ‘catcher car’.
Moving freely is no longer something I take for granted
Every year we have had Red Bull X-Alps athletes taking part, and this year is no different. “After my accident last year, moving freely is no longer something I take for granted. That’s why the Wings for Life World Run matters so much. We run for those who can’t — and every step brings us closer to a cure for spinal cord injury,” Tom de Dorlodot says.
The Wings for Life World Run is the largest and most inclusive running event in the world, with a unique format that sees runners across all global locations starting simultaneously (at 1pm CEST) to be chased by a moving finish line called the “Catcher Car.” One hundred percent of entry fees and donations goes to research to find a cure for spinal cord injury, and the option of team participation is a popular feature.
In the editions of the Wings for Life World Run that have been completed to date, a total of 1,559,534 registered participants from 195 nationalities ran, walked and rolled on all seven continents and together raised a total of €51.93 million. By taking part, you will be helping to find a cure for spinal cord injury, as 100% of entry fees and donations goes to vital spinal cord research.
The run kicks off worldwide at 11am UTC (1pm CEST) on May 4, 2025. To take part, either join one of the Flagship Runs or run remotely via the app. Find out more here.
