We sat down with Chrigel and talked about his seventh consecutive Red Bull X-Alps victory. He told us about his highlights and stand-out moments and how the race compared to his previous ones.

What was your highlight of the race?
I like to think back to the morning in Meran when my team and me enjoyed our last breakfast together. And of course the arrival in Zell am See was amazing, unlike anything before!

What was the toughest part for you?
Day 5 was pretty tough for me, it was hard to hike in a place like Fiesch, which is usually ideal for flying. Decisions were difficult on that day.

What was THE stand-out memory for you?
Definitely the flight passing Turnpoint Piz Palü. Everything just clicked and the view from 3,900m was just incredible!

How was this race in comparison to your other Red Bull X-Alps races?
With the goal in Zell am See it was nice to have something new and it was also nice to not go through the south of France. But there was also a lot of pressure to finish the longest route ever in only 12 days.
