What is your mountaineering experience?No specific claims but a lot of multi pitch climbing routes in the Alps and almost 20 years of alpine speed hiking and ski touring.
What is your paragliding experience?Lot's of XC paragliding and hike & fly events around the world!
What is your adventure racing / endurance sport experience?Mostly Red Bull X-Alps!
What does your typical training week consist of?I get a weird, unhealthy feeling in my body when I don't get to do sports almost every day of the week. However, I'm not following any specific training schedules...
What are your best and worst adventure/flying moments?I have my best moments in adventure flying when I'm able to fly off the beaten track; somewhere alone in the mountains. The worst moments are when I see myself or other people get under pressure and start making mistakes that usually end in serious injury.
What are the sporting moments you are most proud of?Reaching the ocean every time I took part at Red Bull X-Alps so far, although two times the clock had stopped!
When and how did you first hear about Red Bull X-Alps?Red Bull X-Alps live tracking was running on a friend's computer all the time in 2005. That's when I decided that I needed to start paragliding!

What appeals to you about Red Bull X-Alps?I think that most of the things you have to be good at during Red Bull X-Alps are things that have given me the most joy in life!
What will be your strategy during the race?Having fun and staying safe again!
Why do you think you will make it to the finish?Because I made it already once!
What scares you the most about the event?To not be able to find the flow during the race and get myself in dangerous situations.
