When and why did you begin paragliding?I started in 1998, flying seemed so beautiful and wonderful.

What is your mountaineering experience?I have completed the first traverse by paraglider of the "Baekdu daegan", the mountain range that forms the backbone of the Korean peninsular. The range runs 1625km from Mt Jiri in the South to the symbolic peak of Mt Baekdu in North Korea. I traversed the 690km section that lies within South Korea over a period of 6 months. At this time, I climbed all the high mountains in Korea.
What is your paragliding experience?I have 20 years of flying experience. I am currently teaching students at the Korea Air Force Academy as a paragliding instructor and sometimes as a test pilot for Gingliders. I fly tandem on weekends.
What is your adventure racing / endurance sport experience?2015 Red Bull X-Alps. It was really amazing.
What does your typical training week consist of?I mainly practice hiking and do weight exercises plus a lot of muscle endurance training.
What are your best and worst adventure / flying moments?My best flight was winning the Asian Championships and the completion of Red Bull X-Alps 2015 will never be forgotten.
What are the sporting moments you are most proud of?Whenever I got on the podium. When many people praise me.
When and how did you first hear about Red Bull X-Alps?Maybe 2007. I found out about it online.

What appeals to you about Red Bull X-Alps?Nature's greatness and man's infinite energy!
What will be your strategy during the race?The first goal is to complete the race and fly safe.
Why do you think you will make it to the finish?I am strong mentally and I have a lot of experience and good flying skills.
What scares you the most about the event?Nothing.
